Leaonna Odom of the Duke women's basketball team was named the Duke Student-Athlete of the Week, after helping lead the Blue Devils to victories at Syracuse and at home against Georgia Tech this past week.
A native of Lompoc, Calif., Odom averaged 19.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals on the week. She hit 76.0 percent of her field goals in the two contests as Duke has won four out of the last five contests.
At Syracuse, Odom collected 23 points and 10 rebounds, while hitting 11-of-14 field goals in 35 minutes. She added three assists and two steals.
Odom drained 8-of-11 field goals to close the week at home against Georgia Tech and collected 16 points. She chipped in six rebounds, three steals and two assists in 38 minutes.
Duke will be off Thursday, before hosting nationally ranked NC State Sunday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m.
