Duke (11-6, 6-0) had a trio of players finish in double digits with
Toby Fournier posting 16 points and
Ashlon Jackson registering 14. Jackson also collected six rebounds and four assists, while Fournier matched a career-high four blocks to help lead the defensive effort.

Jordan Wood was a menace on the offensive glass with five, as Duke had four different players with six caroms.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Duke got off to a slow start offensively, missing its first three shots as Stanford jumped out to a 7-1 lead. Thomas finished a dish from Riley Nelson to make it a four-point game while the Blue Devil defense did its part to keep the Cardinal off the board for 2:18 to head into the first media break down, 7-3.
- Jackson banked in a three coming out of the break to make it a one-point game and then stole the ball and raced for the fastbreak layup to give the Blue Devils their first lead of the afternoon.
- Stanford closed the quarter with a 7-3 spurt to head into the break with a 15-12 advantage.
- After the Cardinal hit a three to start the second period to make it an 18-12 game, Duke rattled off a 13-2 run to surge ahead, 25-20, with 4:23 left in the second stanza. Jackson and Fournier spearheaded the run with nine of the 13 points. The Blue Devils forced Stanford into four turnovers in a span of 2:35.
- Duke's defense continued to give Stanford fits, forcing two more turnovers to help the Blue Devils maintain their lead.
- The Cardinal finished the quarter strong, outscoring Duke, 8-4, to cut the Blue Devils' lead to three, 31-28, at the half. Duke committed just three turnovers in the first half, while forcing 11.
- Once again, the Blue Devils used their defense to create offense, scoring six points in 23 seconds. Duke caused consecutive giveaways with Mair and Thomas finishing the fastbreak layups, forcing the Cardinal into a timeout trailing, 39-32.
- Refusing to let the game get away from it, Stanford answered with an 8-3 run to make it a two-point game with 4:22 to play in the third. The Cardinal tied the game on a Courtney Ogden bucket, but Duke hit back with four straight and six of the final nine points in the period to head into the final 10 minutes with a 48-45 advantage.
- Just like they had done all game, the Cardinal battled back to tie the game at 50 apiece. Nelson got her first points of the afternoon to keep Duke in front, 52-50.
- The Cardinal continued to fight, but the Blue Devils refused to let them come all the way back, using a 12-3 run to open up a nine-point lead en route to the seven-point win.
