Thank you for your interest in having the Blue Devil mascot or Duke cheerleaders appear at your event. Please review the following terms and conditions and fill out and submit all items. A representative from the Duke Athletics Department will be in contact shortly to confirm the Blue Devil’s or cheerleaders' availability for the appearance. All requests must be made at least FOUR WEEKS PRIOR to the event date and time, however six weeks prior is preferred.
Blue Devil and Cheerleaders Appearance Terms and Conditions:
All appearances are subject to the approval of the Duke Athletics Department.
Appearances are limited to 3 hours and are subject to the availability of the student-athlete and weather conditions if outdoors.
The appearance fee for the Blue Devil or cheerleaders is $200/hour per group for private appearances and $150/hour per group for Duke Affiliates and public school appearances.
All payments must be made via credit card and received at least seven (7) days prior to the event.
Event organizers must provide a private and secure place for the student-athlete to change and store belongings for the duration of the appearance.
Event organizers must provide parking free of charge (if applicable) for the student-athlete.
Event organizers must provide water for the student-athlete.
Please understand that due to insurance, liability and costuming constraints, the Blue Devil and Cheerleaders are unable to perform certain actions. Please provide as much detailed information as possible regarding the nature of the appearance in the Appearance Request Form.
Due to insurance, liability and athletic department policy and procedure, all appearances must take place within the Triangle Area.
Please note: The Blue Devil and cheerleaders are unavailable for outside appearances during home football games, the men’s and women’s ACC and NCAA basketball tournaments, Duke University reading days and final exams week.
