HOW IT HAPPENED

- Nelson got in on the scoring action, putting together a 9-2 run by herself to start the second frame. She drained a pair of three-pointers and knocked down three free throws for nine points in a span of 68 seconds to put Duke up, 30-10.
- The Blue Devils cooled down over the next few minutes before Nelson got Duke back on track with two more mid-range jumpers to extend the lead to 24, 36-12. Jackson tacked on a three with four seconds left, sending Duke into halftime up, 39-14.
- Shots continued to fall for Duke with Nelson and Jackson combining for a trio of buckets from distance and senior Tiana Mair adding a fastbreak layup for an 11-2 run to start the third quarter.
- Leading, 50-17, at the midway point of the third stanza, the Blue Devils didn't slow down on either end, pushing the score to 62-23 after 30 minutes of play.
- The Blue Devils kept their foot off the gas, opening the final stanza on a 14-6 run, led by junior Jordan Wood's seven points.
- Georgia Tech responded, making a layup, a jumper and a three-pointer to cut Duke's lead, 76-36, but five points from Roberson snapped the Yellow Jacket's momentum and spurred a 13-3 run from Duke to make it 89-39 with under three minutes to play.
