DURHAM, N.C. – Seniors
Margaux Paolino and
Jillian Wolgemuth have been named to 2019 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-America Teams, as announced by the organization on Tuesday morning.
Paolino was slated on the first team while Wolgemuth was selected for the third team.
This is the third All-America honor for Paolino who was named to the NFHCA First Team All-South Region and All-ACC First Team after a strong senior campaign. Missing four games due to playing for the U.S. National Team, Paolino scored one goal and added four assists for six points through 16 games of action in 2019. Paolino capped off her career with 57 points from 10 goals and 37 assists which ranks fourth in program history.
Wolgemuth notched the first All-America award of her career after leading the Blue Devils' defense to seven shutouts in 2019 while ranking seventh with a goals against average of 1.13. Offensively, Wolgemuth added a goal and an assist while starting in all 21 games. The Mount Joy native joined Paolino on the first teams for All-ACC and NFHCA All-South Region.
The Blue Devils posted a 13-8 overall record in 2019, earning their 18th appearance in the NCAA Championship.
