DURHAM, N.C.— Spring field hockey on Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium is right around the corner for the Duke field hockey team. With winter workouts in full swing, the Blue Devils are looking ahead to a host of weekend competitions both a home and away as they build towards the 2026 campaign.
Duke opens spring competition against outside opponents with the Blue Devils' annual play day March 21. The day-long event features Richmond, VCU, American and Appalachian State where each team will play each other in 30-minute games.
The Blue Devils will face their best competition, March 28 when they make the trip to Charlotte, North Carolina to take on the U.S. Women's National Team. Duke will also host Wake Forest (April 9), North Carolina (April 11) and Virginia (April 18) before capping the spring at the Davidson Play day.
Duke returns its three top scorers from last season, including first-team All-American
Alaina McVeigh, along with a host of talent all over the field. Additionally, the Blue Devils welcomed a pair of talented transfers in
Alessia Cicuto (Louisville) and
Callie Rogers (Maryland) to bolster the Duke lineup.
