DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke field hockey team is back on the turf and looking ahead to an exciting slate of contests this spring. The Blue Devils will play across four weekends, facing eight different teams in that span.
The Blue Devils open spring action following Spring Break. Duke hosts its annual "Play Day," welcoming American, Liberty, Old Dominion and Appalachian State to Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium. Each team will play abbreviated games on the turf.
Duke hosts Wake Forest the following week, March 29, at noon before making the short trip down Tobacco Road to take on North Carolina April 4. That game is slated for a 5 p.m., first hit.
The Blue Devils close out the spring schedule at Virginia, playing the Cavaliers and Ohio State April 12-13.
Duke looks to fill the holes left by a talented class of seniors and graduate students, including four of the top five scorers and its starting goaltender. The Blue Devils welcome back four starters and 12 returners from last year's squad.
