DURHAM – Duke opens its spring schedule this weekend with the Duke Play Day while a pair of Blue Devils participate in the U-21 USA Field Hockey Women's National Team selection camp.
Duke Welcomes Four Team to Duke Play Day
The Blue Devils head into the final month of their spring season and finally get to see different faces. Duke welcomes, Wake Forest, James Madison, Old Dominion and American to Durham for a full day of hockey on Saturday, March 23.
Duke opens the day against Wake Forest at 9:30 a.m., and plays Old Dominion at 11 a.m. The Blue Devils cap their day against American at 12:45 p.m., and James Madison at 2:15 p.m.

Chepow and Beach Head to Charlotte for Selection Camp

Kaiya Chepow and future Blue Devil
Madison Beach headed to Charlotte for the USA Field Hockey U-21 Selection Camp March 22-24 in Charlotte, N.C. Chepow, a goalkeeper, is a recent addition to the Blue Devils' roster after enrolling at Duke in January.
The Downingtown, Pa., native is a part of the U-18 U.S. National Team and turned in a stellar senior season in which she posted 14 shutouts, a 0.50 goals against average and a 92.5 save percentage. At the U-21 March Selection Camp, the squad will be reduced further to the training pool leading up to the 2024 Junior Pan American Championship (JPAC). The U-21 USWNT will compete in the 2024 JPAC in Surrey, Canada from June 26 to July 12. The Junior Eagles will have their next training camp at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C. from March 22-24, with subsequent camps scheduled for April 5-7, May 17-19, and mid-June.
Pools for Paris 2024 Olympic Hockey Revealed
Following the United States' qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics, the International Hockey Federation revealed the pools. The United States sits in Pool B with Australia, Argentina, Great Britain, Spain and South Africa.
The pools were allocated to their respective groups on the basis of the FIH World Rankings following all the qualifying events.
