BLUE DEVILS OUTLAST CARDINALS
Duke sent out its seniors with a victory last Saturday as the Blue Devils outlasted the third-ranked Cardinals, 4-3, in shootout fashion. The Blue Devils saw goals from junior
Noor van de Laar,
Libby Thompson and graduate student
Eva Nunnink. Louisville knotted the game at 3-3 in the 53rd minute, scoring the equalizer on a penalty stroke.
Â
After two scoreless overtime periods, the teams battled it out in a penalty shootout. On the seventh attempt, freshman
Piper Hampsch pressured Louisville's Mercedes Pastor to miss just wide of the cage, leaving it to sophomore
