Caroline Andretta
Forward l New Vernon, N.J. l Oak Knoll
Prior to Duke: Andretta totaled 114 goals and 59 assists and garnered all-country, all-state and All-America honors during her prep career at Oak Knoll. She was selected her county's player of the year as a senior after recording 60 goals and 30 assists. The forward from New Vernon, N.J., will also bring plenty of national-level experience to Durham as a member of the U.S. U17 and U19 junior national teams. She will join fellow Blue Devil signee Sammi Steele and current Duke defender Sarah Furey on the U.S. junior national teams' tour in Belgium beginning this weekend.
Bustin's Take: “Caroline brings to Duke a great work ethic and a will to win. Since leading her Oak Knoll High School team to the 2014 NJ State sectional and group championships with a 24-2 overall record, Caroline has been challenging her game and skills as a member of the USA Under-19 team. Caroline also represented the New Heights club program, the club alma mater of Duke field hockey player Steph Pezzuti. Her commitment to improvement combined with her fierce competitive nature and passion for the sport will be the key elements to her success as a Duke Blue Devil!”
