QUOTES
- "First and foremost, that is a great performance by Rider. They played an exceptional ballgame. There was nothing fluky about it. They beat us in all three phases tonight. They pitched better than we did, hit better than we did and ran the bases better than we did. The conversation starts with Poliey, their starter, they didn't give us any free bases until the wild pitch in the ninth inning. Zero free bases in eight innings and that is hard to do, but their kid deserves a lot of credit and certainly deserved to win the ballgame today." – Head coach Chris Pollard on his thoughts on today's game against Rider.
UP NEXT
- Duke wraps up the two-game set with Rider on Wednesday at Jack Coombs Field. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
