DURHAM – No 12 Duke opens its 2024 home slate on Wednesday, hosting Liberty at Jack Coombs Field. The Blue Devils (3-0) enter play after a weekend sweep of the Baseball at the Beach tournament, while the Flames (3-0) also completed a weekend sweep of Quinnipiac.
First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. and admission is free. Parking will be located in the Science Drive Garage off of Cameron Blvd.

- Duke baseball set a new program record with 11 home runs on Saturday at the Baseball at the Beach Tournament as seven different Blue Devils left the ballpark. Freshman AJ Gracia led the way with three three-run home runs, his first three collegiate hits.
- Six Blue Devils registered a hit in the first three games of the season, with two freshman holding active streaks after not being in the lineup for a game each. Zac Morris (3), Tyler Albright (3), Logan Bravo (3), Wallace Clark (3), Alex Stone (3), Ben Miller (3), Macon Winslow (2) and Kyle Johnson (2) all have active hitting streaks.
- Scoring first and scoring in bunches has been the name of the game for the Blue Devils since 2016. Duke has compiled a 176-57 (.755) record when scoring first and a staggering 186-40 (.823) record when scoring three or more runs in an inning.
- Duke begins the 2024 season 3-0 for the first time since 2019, after an impressive weekend in Conway against four 2023 regional teams. Duke defeated Indiana in the season opener, before hanging 23 runs on George Mason in the middle game of the weekend. The Blue Devils took the 2023 Conway Regional Final rematch, 5-3 over No. 18 Coastal Carolina, 5-3.
- Graduate right-handed pitcher Charlie Beilenson picked up where he left off in 2023. The schools record holder for appearances in a single season, appeared twice for Duke in the closer role, earning saves against Indiana and No. 18 Coastal Carolina. Beilenson allowed just one hit in his five combined innings, striking out seven.
