DURHAM – No. 11 Duke softball welcomes Elon to Duke Softball Stadium on Monday for a single non-conference matchup.
Duke (30-8, 10-5 ACC) recorded its 10th shutout win of the season during Wednesday's doubleheader against UNC Wilmington. The Blue Devils defeated the Seahawks in a five-inning contest, 8-0, during the opening game before recording a 5-3 win in the nightcap.
Elon enters the matchup with a 14-19 record, including an 8-3 mark in conference play, after falling 10-1 to Liberty on Tuesday. Elon plated its lone run in the bottom of the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly from Claudia Penny to score Megan Grant, who reached on a walk.

The matchup on Monday marks the sixth all-time meeting of the two teams. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series, 4-1, and have won three of the last four matchups. In the last meeting, Elon jumped out to an early 4-0 lead before the Blue Devils battled back using three home runs to score five unanswered runs and earn the 5-4 win at Duke Softball Stadium.

Cassidy Curd collected the wins in the circle, each throwing complete games of 5.0 and 7.0 innings, respectively. Wright fanned a season-best 10 in the opening game while Curd punched out seven in the second.
