DURHAM – The Duke track and field team turns its attention to the postseason as the Blue Devils gear up for the ACC Outdoor Championships slated for May 12-14 at Morris Williams Stadium.
Thursday marks the 11th time and the first since 2011 that Duke will serve as the host school for the event.
Action commences Thursday at 10:30 a.m., with the men's hammer throw, followed by the opening events of the men's decathlon (12 p.m.) and women's heptathlon (1 p.m.) On the track, prelims in three men's and women's running events kick off the evening session before the women's 10,000-meter (8 p.m.) men's 10,000m (8:40 p.m.) final close out day one.
 
A full slate of events and preliminaries continues Friday and Saturday, with finals in 20 running events and four field events wrapping up the Championships on Saturday from 3 until 9 p.m.

What to Watch/Numbers of Note:
	- Duke enters the conference meet boasting three top-10 national marks and 96 total marks that rank among the top 25 in the ACC.
- Three Blue Devils lead the ACC in their respective events: Lauren Hoffman – 400m hurdles (55.98 seconds), Erick Duffy – Pole Vault (5.36m (17-7 feet)) and Isabel Wakefield – Heptathlon (5,850 points). Duffy and Hoffman's marks are both Duke program records.
- Gage Knight and Michael Bennett represent the Blue Devil men in the decathlon, while Zoe Hughes, Erin Marsh and Brianna Smith compete in the heptathlon to open ACC title defense for the Duke women.
- Knight boast's the conference's second highest decathlon point total of 7,134 points. Bennett sits in seventh with 6,464 points.
- The Blue Devils lead the nation in the heptathlon event rankings. Marsh's 5,735 points rank second in the ACC and seventh overall nationally. Hughes and Smith are slotted sixth (5,402) and eighth (5,211) in the event, respectively.
- Moorea Mitchell sits ninth in the women's hammer with a throw of 56.80m (186-4 feet), which ranks third all-time at Duke.
- Dana Baker and Wakefield take the field for the women's javelin. Baker checks in at No. 4 at 51.51m (169 feet) – second all-time in program lore, while Wakefield is eighth at 41.67m (136-8 feet).
- Wakefield, Hughes and Marsh also gear up for the long jump where the trio check in at third, fourth and sixth. Wakefield's mark of 6.24m (20-5.75 feet) ranks fourth all-time at Duke, while Marsh's 6.18m (20-3.50 feet) jump sits fifth.
- Four of the five Blue Devils set for the 200m dash own top-10 conference times. Miles Mingo (20.77 seconds) and Donovan Spearman (20.84) rank fifth and sixth, respectively. On the women's side, Halle Bieber (23.22) and Kelcie Simmons (23. 34) rank fourth and seventh.
- Bieber and Simmons will also compete in Friday's 100m dash, where their times of 11.39 and 11.46 seconds are good for sixth and 10th.
- Nick Dahl gears up for the 1500m where he currently owns the ACC's second-fastest event time this season of 3:39.10, which also ranks second all-time at Duke.
- Michaela Reinhart and Clara Savchik represent Duke in the women's 10,000m. Their times of 33:22.49 and 34:12.60 rank third and eighth in the league, respectively, with Reinhart's time ranking fourth in program history.
- Duke's nationally third-ranked men's javelin squad of Scott Campbell, Luke Jackson, Liam Kahn and Chris Shanahan takes the field on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
- Campbell leads the way in second at 71m (232-11 feet), followed by Jackson at 70.37m (230-10 feet) (fourth), Shanahan at (68.77m (225-7 feet) (sixth) and Kahn at 63.09m (207 feet) (10th).
- Joining Duffy in the men's pole vault are Michael Fairbanks and Cole Rowan. Fairbanks' height of 5.25m (17-2.75 feet) is second in the ACC, while Rowan's 5.11m (16-9.25 feet) clearance is sixth.
- Marsh and Wakefield join freshman Chyler Turner in the women's 100m hurdles. Wakefield leads the trio with a 13.26 run (second), while registered times by Marsh (13.40) and Turner (13.76) rank third and ninth in the league.
- Carly King, Megan McGinnis and Mingo highlight the eight 400m dash entries for Duke. On the women's side, King checks in at fourth (53.76 seconds) and McGinnis is in seventh (54.18 seconds). Mingo ranks eighth at 46.56 seconds.
- Emily Cole and Michael Ungvarsky represent the Blue Devils in the women's and men's 3000m steeplechase. Cole is sixth in the ACC via a 10:15.99 run; a mark that ranks fifth in program lore. On the men's side, Ungvarsky checks in at No. 5 all-time at Duke in the event via his 8:53.10 finish.
- Beau Allen opens Saturday's field events in the men's high jump. Allen won four events during the outdoor regular season and currently sits third in the league with a clearance of 2.15m (7-0.50 feet). The mark is also third all-time in program history.
- On the women's side, Smith ranks third in the conference behind a leap of 1.77m (5-9.75 feet). Smith was undefeated in the high jump during the outdoor season, winning both events she competed in.
- The men's 4x100m unit features Joseph Laster, Ezra Mellinger, Mingo and Spearman. The quartet holds the school record of 40.41 seconds – fifth in the ACC.
- Bieber, Abby Geiser, Maya Provencal and Simmons comprise the women's squad that clocked 44.62 seconds, which is good for fourth in the ACC and all-time at Duke.
- CJ Ambrosio and Reinhart headline the group of athletes competing in the men's and women's 5000m.
- Ambrosio recently shattered the 47-year-old school record at the Virginia Challenge, as he shaved 22 second off his previous best and clocked 13:43.17. Reinhart registered the ACC's seventh-fastest time and moved into second all-time at Duke following her run of 15:53.08.  
- Jenna Crean, Geiser, Hoffman, King and McGinnis make up the group that the women's 4x400m team will be selected from. King, Crean, McGinnis and Hoffman registered a time of 3:36.94 that ranks third in the conference.
- The men's relay will be comprised from Mingo, Ezra Mellinger, Alejandro Rodriguez, Alex Schwedt and Trahan.  Mellinger, Mingo, Trahan and Schwedt were on the quartet that set the program record in the event of 3:09.01 at the Texas Relays.
