Thirty-Seven Blue Devils Collect All-ACC Academic Team Recognition

DURHAM, N.C. – Thirty-seven members of the Duke track and field program were named to the outdoor All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.

The Blue Devils' 37 selections led all ACC schools, with Duke one of just two programs to feature at least 30 all-academic selections. Virginia (30), Louisville (29), North Carolina (28) and California (26) rounded out the top five.

Earning ACC All-Academic Team recognition for the Duke men were Aden Bandukwala, Grant Janish, Jeremy Kain, Alden Keller, Rendon Kuykendall, Nathan Levine, Braden Lofquest, Phillips Moore, Sean Morello, Karl Pohlak, Matthew Prebola, TJ Rowan, Matt Ryan, Michael Scherk, Drew Smith, Andrew Steele and Christian Toro.

On the women's side, the Blue Devil honorees included Taylor Aska, Braelyn Baker, Jette Beermann, Anna Callahan, Maya Collins, Mia Edim, Victoria Garces, Peyton Hollis, Caroline Hood, Olivia Hughes, Julia Jackson, Gianna Locci, Julia Magliaro, Shaolin Munir, Allison Neiders, Johrdyn Tarpeh, Lauren Tolbert, Gemma Tutton, Arabella Wilson and Amber Wimbish.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must have participated in either the ACC Championship and/or the NCAA Championship.
