DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke volleyball team (8-5, 6-3 ACC) is set to welcome No. 13 Louisville (7-2, 6-2 ACC) for a pair of matches Saturday and Sunday in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Both contests are set for first serve at 2 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Devils dropped a pair of matches to Florida State last weekend in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Duke was swept on Friday and Saturday as
Ade Owokoniran led the offense with 26 kills total, while setter
Alex Springate dished 53 assists.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE SERIES
The series record between the two squads is tied at 6-6, however the Cardinals have won the past three decisions. In their last meeting in 2019, Louisville took a 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-14) victory in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
The Cardinals enter the weekend tabbed No. 13 in the nation with a 7-2 overall mark and a 6-2 ACC record.
Last weekend, Louisville swept Wake Forest for two matches in Kentucky. The Cardinals are led by Aiko Jones with 96 kills and Anna DeBeer with 80 and a .299 hitting percentage. Setter Tori Dilfer has dished 236 assists through nine contests.
Louisville ranks second in the conference in hitting percentage (.282) and first in kills (414) and blocks (89.0). Amaya Tillman leads the league in blocks with 48 total (1.85 blocks/set).
