DURHAM, N.C.-- For the first time since the 2012-13 campaign, the Duke women's basketball team will open the season at home in Cameron Indoor Stadium as the Blue Devils host High Point Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. The game will be aired live on ACC Network Extra.
It will also be carried on the Duke Sports Network via TuneIn app and www.GoDuke.com with Chris Edwards (PXP) on the air beginning at 6:45 p.m. (ET).

Duke will hit the road for College Station, Texas as the Blue Devils will face Texas A&M Sunday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m., live on SEC Network+. The Duke trio of

Uchenna Nwoke (Grand Prairie) and
Jade Williams (The Colony) will head to their home state of Texas.
Three Keys...
1) With 12 points, senior
Leaonna Odom will become just the 34th player in Duke history to reach the 1,000-point plateau. She has appeared in 97 career games in a Blue Devil uniform.
2) Duke is riding a 59-game win streak against non-conference opponents from the state of North Carolina. The Blue Devils have also collected a 52 straight home wins against non-conference teams from North Carolina.
3) The Blue Devils will open at home in Cameron Indoor Stadium for the first time since the 2012-13 campaign, when Duke downed Presbyterian, 84-45. Duke has won 20 straight home season openers with the last loss coming in the 1977-78 campaign.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes...
• Duke will feature almost a 4-inch height advantage over High Point, when the two teams hit the hardwood Tuesday in Cameron. The Panthers feature a 69.75 average height, while Duke owns a 73.21 mark. The Blue Devils are the tallest team in the ACC in 2019-20.

The Series with High Point...
Duke hosts High Point for the second time in program history, having won the previous contest by a score of 77-50, on Nov. 16, 2017 in Durham. Coach P owns a 1-0 mark versus the Panthers.
Last year, the Blue Devils were 9-4 on their home court, while the Panthers managed an 8-7 record as the visiting team.
Duke Versus The Big South Conference...
Duke owns a 32-5 record against Big South Conference opponents – Campbell (3-5), Charleston Southern (2-0), Gardner-Webb (1-0), High Point (1-0), Liberty (6-0), Longwood (1-0), Presbyterian (2-0), UNC Asheville (9-0), Radford (3-0), and Winthrop (4-0).
Coach P is undefeated through her career against the Big South, with a record of 9-0.
Season Openers...
Duke owns a 35-9 record in season openers, while holding a 20-2 mark in season openers at home in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Coach P has registered an 11-1 record at home in season openers.
The Blue Devils have won 14 out of the last 15 season openers.
Duke Versus Teams in North Carolina...
Duke's Coach P sports a perfect 16-0 record against non-conference opponents from the state of North Carolina since arriving in Durham in 2007-08.
The Blue Devils have collected 59 consecutive wins (home and away) versus non-conference opponents from North Carolina, which dates back to Feb. 19, 1983 at Charlotte.
Duke has also registered 52 consecutive wins against non-conference opponents from North Carolina in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The last loss came Feb. 16, 1982 against East Carolina.
Opponents during this streak include Appalachian State, Charlotte, WCU, NCCU, Mars Hill, Campbell, UNCW, NCA&T, UNCA, UNCG, Elon, Davidson, Gardner Webb, and High Point.
Blue Devils Down Alaska Anchorage...
Duke closed exhibition action Sunday as the Blue Devils downed 16th-ranked Alaska Anchorage, 91-59, in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Leading the charge for Duke was senior
Leaonna Odom and graduate
Haley Gorecki with 19 points each, while five different Blue Devils scored double-digits.
The Blue Devils used a 14-5 run late in the first quarter and led 23-13 at the break. Odom scored nine of Duke's first 23 points as she hit 4-of-5 field goals. The Blue Devils hit 58.8 percent from the field in the first 10 minutes.
Duke would outscore Alaska Anchorage, 28-21, in the second quarter to hold a 51-34 advantage at the half. Odom led the Blue Devils with 13 points on 6-of-8 field goals, while Gorecki stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. She collected nine points and seven rebounds in the second quarter.
The Blue Devils hit 54.1 percent from the field in the first stanza, while draining 6-of-10 from long range.
Duke would go on a 13-0 run in the third quarter to extend its lead to 66-38 as sophomore
Onome Akinbode-James scored seven of those 13 points.
At the end of the third period, Duke led 73-47 and then outscored the Seawolves, 18-12, in the fourth period.
Gorecki, an All-America candidate from Palatine, Ill., finished the game with 19 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and two steals. She hit 4-of-7 from downtown. Akinbode-James added 14 points and five rebounds.
Duke freshmen
Jada Claude and
Azana Baines each came off the bench to notch double-digits. Claude registered a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds as she hit 5-of-8 field goals, while Baines collected 10 points and six rebounds.
The Blue Devils finished the game hitting 50.7 from the field and 42.9 percent from three-point land. Duke outscored Alaska Anchorage, 42-10, in the paint and held a 25-12 advantage in second chance points.
Duke to Take Trio Home...
The Blue Devils will take the trio of
Kyra Lambert,
Jade Williams and
Uchenna Nwoke home to the state of Texas, when Duke faces Texas A&M Sunday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m.
Lambert hails from Cibolo, Texas, which is about two and a half hours from College Station. Williams' hometown of The Colony, Texas is a little over three hours from College Station, while Nwoke's hometown of Grand Prairie, Texas is almost three hours away from Texas A&M's campus.
Blue Devils Return Scoring Punch...
Duke returns 94.66 percent of its scoring from a year ago, which is the second-most in school history. In 1997-98, the Blue Devils returned 97.90 percent of their scoring to lead the way.
In terms of the ACC, Duke boasts the third-highest percentage of returning scoring in the league behind Boston College and Florida State, which return 100 percent form a year ago.
Looking at the Power Five Conferences, Duke ranks sixth.

Boykin, Lambert Working Their Way Back...
After missing most of the last two seasons with knee injuries, graduate
Kyra Lambert and redshirt freshman
Mikayla Boykin continue to make progress in their rehab.
No set timetable for their return has been announced.
A native of Cibolo, Texas, Lambert had started 56-of-65 contests over her first two years prior to the injury in 2017, which was a freak contact injury in the NCAA Tournament first round against Hampton.
She started all 33 games as a sophomore, while averaging 7.8 points, 3.5 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals. Lambert was voted one of three captains for the 2017-18 campaign and one of four captains in 2018-19.
Lambert, who graduated in May of 2019 with a degree in cultural anthropology and environmental science, still has two years of eligibility remaining. She is attending the Duke FUQUA School of Business in 2019-20.
In two seasons, Boykin has been limited to only 18 games due to injuries. She has averaged 6.7 points, 3.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds in that limited time.
Boykin last had surgery Tuesday, Jan. 22, after suffering an ACL injury. In her eight games last season, Boykin averaged 9.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals. She scored a career-high 13 points at ninth-ranked NC State. She added a career-high 11 assists at Georgia Tech. The 11 assists tied a Duke freshman record.
