DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke baseball team is set for its annual Fall World Series on Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 14-16 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The three-game series starts at 3:30 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday, while concluding Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
Duke heads into the final weekend of its 2019 fall slate and transitions into its offseason workout program following the Fall World Series conclusion.
After four Blue Devils began their professional careers and six graduated this past spring, Duke returns seven starting position players, including consensus Freshman All-American
Ethan Murray and standout pitcher
Bryce Jarvis.
Twelve players have joined the Blue Devil rankings for this upcoming season, including 11 freshmen and one transfer in
Luke Hartman from Bucknell.
This past season, the Blue Devils made a magical postseason run in the NCAA Tournament, culminating in the program's second straight and second-ever NCAA Super Regional. The NCAA Tournament appearance makred the second consecutive appearance for the Blue Devils and the third in the last four seasons.
The program concluded the 2019 campaign as a consensus top-20 team for the second consecutive season. Duke received rankings as high as 16
th in the national polls, while being recognized as a top-20 team amongst five different publications.
All three games are open to the public and admission is free.
