Duke Track Set To Begin Outdoor Season At Tar Heels Opener

The Duke men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will get the 2004 season started on Saturday, March 20, as they travel down the road to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the Tar Heels Opener, hosted by the University of North Carolina. Events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.

Among the top returners for the Blue Devil men include 2003 All-American pole vaulter Brent Warner and All-ACC performer Nick Schneider. For the women, sophomore Clara Horowitz, an at-large selection to the 2003 NCAA Championships, returns in addition to All-East selections Heidi Hullinger, Phebe Ko, Meaghan Leon, Lauren Matic, Sally Meyerhoff, Shannon Rowbury and Liz Wort.
