Prior to Duke: Competed for Chatham High School and Metro Area Life Time Swim Club… Garnered High School All-America honors in the 200 freestyle and on the 200 medley relay… Named to the First Team All-State team in the 200 freestyle as a senior… Recived Scholastic All-America recognition his sophomore through senior years… Posted personal bests of 1:36.90 (200 free), 4:23.25 (500 free) and 1:48.99 (200 fly)… Served on the National Honor Society his junior and senior years and was member of Swimmers for Shelters.
