INSIDE THE SERIES
Boston University
Duke and Boston University will meet for the second time this season after meeting in the Blue Devils' season-opening game in the UCF Black & Gold Invitational in Orlando, Florida. The Terriers defeated the Blue Devils, 2-1, in the first matchup on Feb. 6. Boston University now leads the all-time series, 2-1.
Northwestern
Saturday's game against Northwestern will mark the third all-time meeting between the two programs. Northwestern holds a 2-0 advantage over the Blue Devils after collecting a 4-1 victory in the NFCA Leadoff Classic last season. The Wildcats also won the first meeting, 6-5, after a back-and-forth battle in the 2019 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
Ohio State
The Blue Devils and Buckeyes will go head-to-head twice during the invitational with contests on Friday and Sunday. Duke and Ohio State have met just twice prior to Friday, with the Buckeyes holding a 2-0 series lead. Friday will mark the third meeting in program history and first since 2019.
UP NEXT
Duke opens ACC action on the west coast with a weekend series at Cal Mar. 6-8. Due to renovations at Cal Softball Stadium, the games will be held at Shea Stadium in Sacramento, Calif.
