• The Duke wrestling team (6-6) returns to dual match action this weekend as the Blue Devils travel to the West Coast for a pair of matches against Stanford and Cal Poly. Duke faces Stanford Friday, Jan. 9 at 10 p.m. (ET) and Cal Poly Saturday, Jan. 10 at 10 p.m. (ET).Â
• Friday's contest at Stanford will be Duke's ACC opener.Â

THE SERIES WITH STANFORD
• Duke and Stanford will meet for the fifth time in program history with the Cardinal leading the series with a 4-0 ledger.Â
• In matches played at Stanford, the Blue Devils feature an 0-2 mark with losses coming in 2016 and 2023.Â

THE SERIES WITH CAL POLY
• Duke and Cal Poly will meet up for the third time in program history. The series is tied with a 1-1 mark with the last meeting coming in 2023.Â
• Both contests have taken place in California.Â
• Cal Poly won the last meeting, 38-6, on Nov. 3, 2023.
• Duke's victory came on Jan. 17, 2016 with a 28-18 ledger.Â

• For the second year in a row, Duke standout
Aidan Wallace placed third at the Southern Scuffle as he posted a 6-1 ledger over the weekend at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga.
• Wallace, a native of Mahwah, New Jersey, won his first four matches to reach the semifinals of the scuffle. After dropping the semifinal match to Penn State's Will Henckel (8-3 decision), Wallace collected a victory with a 7-6 decision against Hudson Rogers of Utah Valley to advance to the third-place match. Wallace, who is ranked No. 22 nationally, was impressive to close the event with a 14-1 major decision against Max Magayna to finish third in the 174-pound class.

Connor Barket registered a fifth-place finish at heavyweight and now owns a seventh place and fifth-place finish over the last two years. He also placed eighth in 2024.Â

Raymond Adams collected a win in the consolation round with a 4-2 decision against Kyison Garcia of Penn State.Adams dropped his other two bouts Saturday.

Noah Kochman totaled his second win of the season with a 10-7 decision against Hudson Waldrop of Campbell in the consolation round.

Dylan Ross opened the event with an 11-5 decision against Brandon Bauer of Campbell.After a loss in the round of 32, Ross went on to win three-straight matches to advance to the quarterfinals of the 149-pound bracket.He dropped a 4-2 decision to Wynton Denkins of Virginia to conclude action.

SP O'Donnell collected a pair of wins totaling a 16-0 tech fall against Jason Kennedy of Campbell and a 13-1 major decision versus Brandon Bauer of Campbell.

Connor Barket opened the scuffle with three wins in a row.He totaled a 14-1 major decision versus Christian Bell of The Citadel, 9-6 decision against Shilo Jones of North Dakota State and a 4-1 decision versus Emannuel Ulrich of American.In the semifinals, Barket dropped a 22-6 tech fall to 14th-ranked Jimmy Mullen of Virginia Tech. Barket then dropped a 10-3 decision to Army's 18th-ranked Brady Colbert in the consolation semifinals.

WALLACE NOTCHES MILESTONE
• With his six wins at the Southern Scuffle, redshirt junior
Aidan Wallace reached 20 victories on the season. He has now collected 20+ wins at the 164-pound weight class and the 174-pound class over the last two seasons.
• Wallace became the 14th Blue Devil to notch back-to-back 20+ win seasons -- Matt Finesilver, Frank Cornely, Levi Craig, Voris Tejada, John Barone, Diego Bencomo, Jacob Kasper, Conner Hartmann, Mike Mitchell, Immanuel Kerr-Brown, Josh Finesilver, Marcus Cain and Tommy Hoang.
• Wallace has become just the fourth Blue Devil to collect 20+ wins in multiple weight classes -- Frank Cornely (174, 184), Voris Tejada (157 and 174), John Barone (174/184 & 184/197) and Josh Finesilver (133 and 141).Â

DUKE REACHES SIX WINS
• Duke has opened the season with a 6-6 ledger. It marks the most victories by the Blue Devils since the 2021-22 campaign when Duke totaled a 7-10 ledger.Â
• Over the last 10 years, Duke has reached five or more wins only three times -- 2025-26, 2021-22 and 2017-18.

• Of Duke's 220 points scored on the season, 112 have come from the 165, 174 and Heavyweight divisions.
