DURHAM, N.C. – Duke track and field continues its indoor season this weekend when the Blue Devils travel to Lynchburg, Virginia, to compete at the Liberty Open. Action is slated for Friday, Jan. 23 at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.

WHAT TO KNOW:
- Duke will be represented by 35 student-athletes at the meet – 20 men and 15 women – across 16 different events.
- The Blue Devils open competition at 10 a.m., in the women's long jump before commencing track events at 10:25 a.m., with the prelims of the men's 60m hurdles.
- Seven different Blue Devils are ranked in the top-20 nationally in their respective events: Julia Jackson (2nd – 500m), Lauren Tolbert (3rd – 500m; 9th – 600m), Beck Wittstadt (7th – 1500m; 17th – Mile), Braelyn Baker (9th – 300m; 12th – 200m), Andres Langston (11th – 500m), Bailey Goggans (18th – 500m; 19th – 600m) and Aden Bandukwala (15th – 1500m).
- Duke's women's 4x400m quartet of Taylor Aska, Baker, Arabella Wilson and Tolbert is also tied for 14th in the NCAA.

LAST TIME OUT:
- Duke track and field showed no signs of rust in its first meet after the holiday break, turning in a phenomenal performance at the JDL Mondo College Invitational.
- The Blue Devils rewrote the record books at the meet, with 17 student-athletes producing meet-record times across eight different track events. Additionally, Duke earned seven event wins, totaled 22 podium finishes and tallied a handful of top-five program marks.
- Four of the meet records came via first-place finishes in the women's 60 meters (Maya Collins), 600 meters (Tolbert), 200 meters (Baker) and 4x400 meter relay (Aska, Baker, Wilson, Tolbert.
