DURHAM, N.C. — A total of 14 members of the Duke wrestling team are set to compete in the Southern Scuffle, which will be contested in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on the campus of UT-Chattanooga Jan. 3-4 to open the new year.Â

Along with the Blue Devils seeing action will be American, Appalachian State, Army, Bellarmine, Brown, Campbell, Chattanooga, The Citadel, Clarion, Cornell, Davidson, Duke, Gardner-Webb, Little Rock, Maryland, Michigan State, Morgan State, Navy, N.C. State, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Oklahoma State, Penn, Penn State, Presbyterian, Utah Valley, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Duke features two seeded wrestlers heading into the weekend as 24th-ranked Wallace is seeded No. 2, while 28th-ranked Barket is No. 5.Â

Opening day on Saturday will see the field work through the quarterfinals in all 10 weight classes as well as the first consolation round of eight. Sunday includes semifinal action and the paring down of the field to the medal matches which start at 3 p.m.
