The Opening Faceoff
- Duke opened the 2025 season in commanding fashion, beating Bellarmine, 26-7. Seventeen different Blue Devils scored in the victory with freshmen Liam Kershis, Luke Warrington and Ian Dykes all scoring their first collegiate goals. Sophomores Mac Christmas and Cal Girard also both notched their first career tallies.
- Duke takes on Jacksonville for the 15th consecutive year. The Blue Devils' lost to the Dolphins in their last trip to Floriday and are 12-2 all-time against the Florida program. Returning for the Dolphins are reigning ASUN Defensive Player of the Year Ryan Della Rocco in goal and a the trio of Jack Taylor, Nicky Brown and Jackson Intrieri after scoring a combined 168 points last season.
- Jacksonville has a tough early season schedule, facing No. 2 Syracuse and No. 7 Duke in its first two games. The Dolphins fell to the Orange, 24-5, last weekend.
- Duke plays nine home games this season, including against preseason top 20 opponents, Michigan, Penn, Princeton, Syracuse and North Carolina. The Blue Devils also will play a neutral site game in Dallas, Texas - the first time Duke has played a game in the Lonestar State.

Series History
- Duke and Jacksonville meet for the 15th consecutive year. The Blue Devils are 12-2 all-time against the Dolphins, including last year's commanding 23-7 victory in Durham. Jacksonville beat Duke last time the teams met on the Dolphins' home field.
Duke Attack with a Brand New Look
- Duke features three new faces on attack this season. Graduate students Luke Grayum (Richmond) and Eric Malever (Maryland) and freshman Liam Kershis is the starting trio for the Blue Devils.
- Grayum, Malever and Kershis stepped in following the departure of Brennan O'Neill, Dyson Williams and Josh Zawada who combined for 224 points last season - more than 20 teams in Division I lacrosse.
