The Opening Faceoff
- No. 21 Duke heads to Chestnut Hill, Mass., for its first ACC match of the season against the No. 1 Boston College Eagles. The last time these two teams met was in the 2024 ACC Tournament, where the Eagles won 19-5.
- Duke holds a 2-1 record, having secured a 16-7 win over Elon and a 17-6 victory over High Point during opening weekend. Last time out, the Blue Devils fell in overtime at No. 10 Johns Hopkins, 12-11.
- The Blue Devils are ranked No. 21 in the week two Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll and No. 20 by Inside Lacrosse. Other ACC teams in the rankings include No. 1 Boston College, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 4 Syracuse, No. 7 Virginia, No. 11 Notre Dame, No. 14 Stanford and No. 19 Clemson.
- Individually, senior attacker Carly Bernstein ranks 11th nationally with eight assists and seventh with 18 points. In draw controls, senior midfielder Kerry Nease ranks 14th nationally with 22 on the season, averaging 8.67 per game.
- Following this weekend, Duke returns home to host No. 11 Notre Dame and Xavier on Feb. 28 and Mar. 2, respectively.

Series' History

- The teams met twice last season. The first game between the two teams was a home game in regular conference play, where the Blue Devils fell 18-3
. They met later that year in the ACC Tournament, where Boston College won 19-5.
- The last time Duke posted a win over Boston College was in 2022 ACC play, where the Blue Devils upset the Eagles 16-15 in Koskinen Stadium.
