The Opening Pass-Back
- Duke returns home for one game this week, hosting No. 19 Louisville Oct. 10. The opening whistle is set for 6 p.m., on ACCNX.
- Duke heads into the weekend ranked ninth in the NFHCA top 20 poll and 10th in the third iteration of the RPI. The Blue Devils have four games remaining against RPI top 20 teams.
- Duke is coming off a 1-1 weekend that saw the Blue Devils take No. 2 Virginia to double overtime before rebounding to cruise past No. 18 James Madison, 5-0. All four of Duke's losses have come against teams currently ranked in the top six.
- Senior Alaina McVeigh and sophomore Julia Boehringer lead the offensive charge with 18 and 17 points, respectively. McVeigh and Boehringer both have seven goals apiece. Both are dangerous options on penalty corners as well as in open play.
- Duke hits the road to the Northeast next weekend to play at Boston College and UConn. Friday's contest at the Eagles will be televised by ACC Network.

With Six Games Remaining In Regular Season
- Duke is 7-4 overall with all four losses coming against current top six teams – No. 1 Northwestern (0-1), No. 2 Virginia (0-1, 2OT) No. 5 Syracuse (0-1) and No. 6 Liberty (3-4). The Blue Devils are 2-2 in conference action.
- Defensively, Duke has been outstanding, allowing just nine goals all season and only five in the past 10. The Blue Devils are tied for second nationally with five clean sheets while their 0.80 goals against average is fifth.            Â
- Alaina McVeigh paces the offense with seven goals and four assists for 18 points. Right behind her is sophomore Julia Boehringer, who is having a breakout season, with seven goals and three assists for 17 points. She is highly effective on penalty corners. Sophomore Madison Beach has been excellent on set pieces and in open play with a team-best five assists.

- Duke and Louisville meet for the 25th time with the Blue Devils holding a 15-9 edge in the series. Duke has won three straight against the Cardinals with the last home loss coming Sept. 24, 2021.
- The Blue Devils have allowed just one goal to the Cardinals in the past three games. Five of the past six outings between the two programs have been decided by a single goal with two going into shootouts.

- Duke has proven it has a wealth of scoring options with 11 different players landing on the scoresheet. Returning leading scorer Alaina McVeigh has seven of the 28 goals (25 percent) with Julia Boehringer (7), Maggie Kondrath (3), Ashley Stockdale (3) and Madison Beach (2) also providing multiple goals. Through 11 games last season, McVeigh had eight of Duke's 19 tallies (42 percent).
