ATLANTA, Ga. – No. 9 Duke (34-16, 15-12 ACC) dropped the rubber match with Georgia Tech (30-19, 14-13 ACC) on Sunday, 8-6, at Russ Chandler Stadium.
The Yellow Jackets struck first in the bottom of the second inning, before
Harrison Rodgers tripled to center field to score
Kyle Johnson from first to tie the ballgame in the top of the fifth inning. Georgia Tech responded in the bottom half, regaining the lead, 2-1.
The Jackets added to their lead with a pair of runs in the sixth, before Duke was able to flush starter Take McKee after 6.1 innings of work.
Zac Morris crushed his 14th home run of the season to right center field, a three-run home run to tie the game. Later in the frame,
Alex Stone moved into sole possession of third on the Duke career home run list, hitting a two-run blast to right center field, capping off a five run inning for Duke.
Georgia Tech regained the lead in the bottom of the seventh inning for good, taking the series finale over the Blue Devils.

- Georgia Tech opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning, 1-0.
- In the top of the fifth inning, Harrison Rodgers tripled to center field to score Kyle Johnson from first, 1-1.
- The Yellow Jackets regained the lead in the bottom of the fifth, 2-1.
- Georgia Tech added to the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning, 4-1.
- Zac Morris hit a three-run home run to right center field in the top of the seventh inning. Alex Stone hit a two-run home run to right center field, 6-4.

NOTES
- Graduate Harrison Rodgers made his sixth start of the season, replacing the late scratch of Ben Miller on Sunday. He finished the day 1-for-3.
- Graduate Zac Morris hit his 14th home run of the season; a three-run shot to tie the ballgame in the top of the seventh inning.
- Senior Alex Stone hit his 11th home run of the season; a two-run shot to right center field to give Duke the lead in the seventh. Stone has now moved into sole possession of third all-time in a career with his 38th in a Blue Devils uniform. His three hit contest was his 19th of the season and fifth with three hits.
- Sophomore Andrew Healy made his second start this week and first on the weekend since returning from injury, working two innings of two hit baseball and striking out a pair.
