DURHAM - Graduate student Caroline DeBellis registered her 100th-career goal as No. 23 Duke rolled to a 16-2 victory over Campbell Monday evening in women's lacrosse action.

With the win, the Blue Devils improve to 9-5 overall and have won six of their last seven contests.

Duke was led offensively by DeBellis, Katie DeSimone and Katie Keller who all tallied four points. Twelve different Blue Devils registered a point in the victory as eight of Duke's 16 goals were assisted.

Defensively, Margaret Anne Warner paced Duke with three caused turnovers and three ground balls, while Kennedy Everson got the start in the cage and picked up four saves with only one goal against.

How it Happened

Olivia Carner opened the scoring for Duke 23 seconds into the contest, a sign that Duke would be highly efficient offensively this evening. Campbell tallied the equalizer at 10:50 before it was all Duke.
Duke tallied seven unanswered goals to lead 8-1 after the first quarter and tacked on three more in the second quarter.
Leading 11-1 after the first 30 minutes, Duke continued to excel on both sides of the ball. Grace Hulslander, Izzy Marsh, Caitlin Barrett and Kerry Nease all tallied goals in the second half as Duke nearly cleared its bench.

Notables

It was head coach Kerstin Kimel's 349th-career victory and her 345th at the helm of the Blue Devils.
The all-time series moves to 4-0 in favor of Duke.
Duke improves to 6-3 at home this season.
DeSimone now owns 261 career points to rank fourth in program history. She is 26 points shy of tying Duke great Katie Chrest Erbe's all-time points record of 287.
DeSimone now owns 187 career goals to rank third in program history. She is 29 goals shy of tying Chrest Erbe's all-time goals record (216).
Duke nearly cleared its bench as 32 players saw the field.
Duke was nearly flawless on clears (18-of-19) and won the draw control battle (14-6) as Kerry Nease led Duke with seven.
Campbell's two goals were scored by Lexi Goff and Shea Saracino.
