Breaking the Stigma
Saturday's contest between the Blue Devils and the Eagles will help to raise awareness for mental health through Morgan's Message, a non-profit working on breaking the stigma on mental health in student-athletes in honor of former Duke women's lacrosse player Morgan Rodgers.
Morgan's Message strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. MM aims to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence and supporting those who feel alone.
There are now over 4,800 ambassadors at the high school and collegiate levels across different sports in the United States, Canada, UK and Germany.
