QUICK HITS
- The Blue Devils have continued to pounce on opponents like they did throughout the 2023 season. Duke has recorded 106 of its 188 runs so far this season from the fourth to eighth innings. That number accounts for 56.4% of the Blue Devils' run production.
- Graduate transfer Zac Morris took over the longest active hitting streak this season, pushing his mark to double digits. Morris has collected a knock in 15 consecutive games and has registered seven multi-hit contests. He is second on the team with five multi-RBI games and has tallied on four-RBI day.
- The freshman continue to shine on the diamond in key spots for the Blue Devils, after having multiple freshman arms impress on the mound last season. Macon Winslow and AJ Gracia both have earned consistent playing time since opening day, as Winslow has started all 18 games he has appeared in this season, posting a .367 average and four home runs, while Gracia has started all 20 games in 2024, posting a .357 average, hitting six home runs and leading the team in walks with 16.
- Junior David Boisvert gets the nod on the mound to start on Tuesday for the first time in his career. The righty made his collegiate debut in the final game of the 2023 regular season at Miami. He has appeared in five games this season, working 5.2 innings and allowing three hits. The Charlotte, N.C., native endured injuries throughout his first two years in the program and is finally back on the mound in good form.
- Duke baseball improved to 6-0 on the season when scoring 10-plus runs in a game. The Blue Devils nearly tallied their fourth 20-plus run game of the year, scoring 18 against Rider in game two of the double midweek. Duke was 18-0 a year ago when scoring 10 or more runs in a contest and 4-0 in ACC play.
