No. 7 Duke Opens ACC Slate with Syracuse Series Saturday

DURHAM – No.7 Duke softball hosts Syracuse in the conference-opening matchup on Saturday at Duke Softball Stadium.
Due to projected inclement weather, Friday's contest has been moved to Saturday at 3 p.m. The two teams will now play a doubleheader on Saturday with the first game slated for 1 p.m., and the second to follow at 3 p.m. The series finale is scheduled for Sunday at 12 p.m.
After falling to No. 1 Oklahoma, 3-0, in the season opener, the Blue Devils (13-1) have won 13 consecutive games, including seven run-rule victories. Duke finished 5-0 in its home invitational over the weekend and outscored its opponents 59-7.
Syracuse enters the weekend with an 8-6 record after finishing 2-3 in the Best on the Bayou Classic in Monroe, La. The Orange defeated Evansville and Louisiana-Monroe before falling to Northwestern State, Sam Houston and the host Warhawks.
