DURHAM – It's a clean sweep for the Duke field hockey program this week as junior midfielder

Piper Hampsch were named the ACC Field Hockey Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
This is the first ACC weekly honor for Curland and the second consecutive for Hampsch. The Blue Devils have garnered a total of four weekly conference accolades this season and at least one in each of the past three weeks.
Duke, riding a six-game win streak, moved up one spot to No. 4 in the NFHCA national rankings. It's the highest the Blue Devils have been ranked since 2019. Duke is No. 1 in the latest RPI rankings, which reflects games through Sept. 25. The Blue Devils, sitting at 8-1 overall, are one of six teams in the country to have one or fewer losses this season.
The Blue Devils went 2-0 last weekend, collecting a pair of double-overtime top-15 victories at No. 11 Boston College and No. 15 Harvard.
On the offensive side of the ball, Curland netted the overtime winner at Boston College, hitting a penalty corner past the outstretched pad of the Eagle keeper. Two days later at Harvard, Curland put Duke ahead, 2-1, in the third quarter as she fired in a rebound for her third goal of the season. She has three goals and two assists for eight points this season, surpassing her total in 16 games last year.
Hampsch provided the anchor on the defensive end for the Blue Devils, collecting 11 saves over the course of the weekend. The Duke captain came up huge for Duke at Boston College, making a season-high eight saves to garner her seventh win of the year. She came back Sunday and made three saves as Duke outlasted Harvard in double overtime. She sports a 1.07 goals against average and a .750 save percentage this season, the lowest of her career.
Duke splits this weekend between Durham and Williamsburg, Va. The Blue Devils host ACC foe Wake Forest Sept. 29 at 6 p.m., before traveling to William & Mary for a 12 p.m., match against the Tribe on Oct. 1.
