DURHAM – After finishing the regular season with a 19-5 ACC ledger, eighth-ranked Duke softball earned the No. 2 seed in the ACC Championship for the second consecutive year, the league announced Sunday.
The 2023 ACC Championship will be held at the Melissa Cook Softball Stadium in South Bend, Ind., beginning Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The Blue Devils received a first-round bye and will play the winner of seventh-seed Notre Dame and 10th-seeded Georgia Tech on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
ACC Network and ESPN2 will provide 18 hours of live coverage of the ACC Softball Championship. The first three rounds will be broadcast on ACC Network, while ESPN2 will carry the championship game.
Ticket books for the full tournament are available for $10-15, which covers tickets to all nine tournament games, including the championship game on Saturday. Single-session tickets will also be available for purchase.
Three other ACC teams join the Blue Devils in the most recent top 25 of the USA Today/NFCA poll in No. 3 Florida State, No. 10 Clemson and No. 21 Virginia Tech.
