QUOTES
- "Unbelievable job by Higgins today. I think it was a career high in innings today and he was in complete control from the very first pitch. He had everything working. The high ride was working on the fastball, so it was above the barrel. When he didn't get the swing and miss, he was getting fly balls. What is great to see in his development is he is now featuring a changeup and is getting swing and miss with that. He was efficient and got us through five. I can't say enough good things about the start." – Head coach Chris Pollard on the start Ryan Higgins gave Sunday.
- "We have had some really good players come through this program and he is as advanced in his to this point. It is pretty special what he is doing and that was as big a swing as we have had all year." – On the at bat Andrew Fischer had in the ninth inning to give Duke insurance runs.
- "It's just special. You talk about some young guys that just do special things right now. They are so good and make it look so easy, that you almost expect them to succeed. We have to step back and realize how impressive what they are doing is because it is unique. To cover those last two innings in that dominate of fashion is really impressive." – On the job James Tallon has done as the closer this season.
