Nice stick work from the graduate student got her to the endline as she sent the ball across the face of the cage where junior Logan Clouser put it across the line for the early 1-0 lead. The assist was Miller's 27th of her career.
- Duke continued to put together good possession and stifled the Dukes offense, holding James Madison without a shot in the opening quarter.

- The Blue Devils broke through with a crucial second goal midway through the second quarter off a penalty corner. The insert from Miller landed on Mary Harkins' stick for a sweep from Macy Szukics. Sophomore Brynn Crouse was perfectly set on the right post for the redirect and 2-0 advantage in the 40th minute.
- Three minutes later Miller got a goal of her own, taking a pass from Alaina McVeigh and dribbling around a few James Madison defenders for her sixth goal of the season and a 3-0 lead.
- James Madison's Tori Carawan made it a two-goal game one minute later, knocking in a rebound from a Piper Hampsch save on the penalty corner.
- Duke continued to find success on penalty corners in the fourth quarter, stretching its lead back to three goals as sophomore Alaina McVeigh redirected another sweep from Szukics on the left side of the circle. Miller provided the pass to earn her second assist of the day.
- James Madison added a second goal with about five minutes to play, capitalizing on another save from Hampsch on the penalty corner.
