Weekend Need to Knows
- The second-ranked Blue Devils host No. 5 Louisville in a top-five matchup Friday at 4 p.m., on ACCNX.
- Duke welcomes No. 8 Virginia to Durham for a non-conference matchup. It is the second game between the Blue Devils and Cavaliers in 10 days and will be televised live on ACC Network at 3:30 p.m.
- Fan parking for both games will be available at 705 Broad Street.

The First Hit
- Duke returns home for a three-game homestand, starting with Louisville Friday at 4 p.m. A rematch against Virginia on ACC Network is set for 3:30 p.m., Sunday.
- The Blue Devils are riding a 10-game win streak, which includes five top-15 wins and four ACC victories. Duke is 12-1 overall and sports its best 13-game record since it was 10-1 in 2016. Duke is off to a 4-0 start in ACC play for the first time in program history.
- Louisville comes to Durham ranked fifth nationally with a 12-1 record and 2-1 mark in ACC play. The Cardinals' lone loss came at North Carolina, a 2-0 setback. Louisville has ranked wins over current No. 1 Northwestern, No. 9 Ohio State, and No. 8 Virginia.
- Duke and Virginia square off for the second time in 10 days. The Blue Devils edged the Cavaliers 2-1 in overtime, marking the fifth time in the past seven games between the two that has been decided by one goal.

- Duke inched up two more spots to No. 2 following another weekend sweep. The Blue Devils are 18 spots up from their preseason ranking of 20th. Duke is in second for the first time since September of 2019. The Blue Devils sit at No. 1 in the latest RPI rankings, reflecting their success and tough schedule combination.

Series Histories
- Duke and Louisville are playing for just the 21st time. The Blue Devils have a slight 11-9 edge in the series, but the Cardinals have won the past two. Four of the past eight outings have gone into shootouts, including last season's marathon in Louisville.
- Duke and Virginia square off for the 63rd time in the programs' histories. The Cavaliers hold a 39-23 record and look to avenge the ACC loss 10 days ago. Four of the past six battles between the teams have been decided by a single goal with two going into overtime.

Duke In ACC Play
- Duke is 4-0 in ACC play for the first time in program history. The Blue Devils went 5-1 in 2016 and 2018 with the 2016 squad capturing the regular season crown en route to nabbing the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
- The Blue Devils had struggled in ACC play the previous three seasons, going 2-4 in the spring of 2021 and 0-6 in 2021 and 2022. Prior to Duke beating No. 6 Syracuse, 4-0, Duke's last conference victory was a shootout win over No. 3 Louisville April 10, 2021 - a span of 888 days.
- Scoring had been an issue for Duke against ACC foes in recent years, being outscored 16-4 in ACC play in 2022 and 21-7 in 2021. Duke's four goals against the Orange this season were the most scored by the Blue Devils in regulation of an ACC contest since losing 5-4 to North Carolina, Oct. 18, 2020. The Blue Devils have outscored its ACC foes this season,11-2.
- The two goals allowed in ACC play marks the fewest allowed by Duke through four ACC contests in program history. The 2018 squad let in five goals in six contests - the fewest allowed by a Duke team since moving to at least a five-game slate in league action.

- Make Duke 5-0 in ACC play for the first time in Duke history. The Blue Devils went 5-1 in 2018, but lost to North Carolina in the second ACC game that season. Duke also went 5-1 in 2016, winning the ACC regular season crown.

- Duke has been quite successful on penalty corners already this season, scoring 19 goals on 78 penalty corners - a 24.4 percent success rate. Last weekend, Duke scored two goals on seven penalty corner situations. The tying goal against Virginia came directly after a penalty corner left the circle.
- Last season, Duke scored just eight goals on 111 penalty corners, registering a goal on 7.2 percent of the corners.
