Duke to Auction Helmets for Lead the Way Fund
- Saturday's game against Notre Dame is Duke's annual Lead the Way game in honor of former Blue Devil Jimmy Regan. Regan, a 2002 graduate, was killed in action in February 2007 while serving in the 75th Regiment of the Army Rangers.
- The Blue Devils will wear special camouflage helmets with Jimmy's regiment number and battalion number on it. All 52 of the game-worn helmets will be available at the auction on the day of the game. Proceeds will go directly to the Lead the Way Fund in honor of Jimmy Regan. Those wishing to bid on a helmet must be in attendance at the game and are encouraged to pay by check.
Parking Alert
- Duke University Reunion Weekend is taking place this weekend, resulting in heavy traffic in the athletics facilities area. Tailgate parking for the men's lacrosse game is available in the grounds lot off of Frank Bassett Drive as well as the jogging trail lot off of 751.
- General Public Garage Parking - is available in Science Drive Garage (GPS Address: 3100 Cameron Blvd.) located on NC 751/Cameron Blvd. Parking opens Saturday 7:00 AM. Science Drive Garage entry is located at the permit entrance off of NC 751/Cameron Blvd.
- General Public Tailgate Parking – is available in the Grounds Lot (limited space available due to Track & Field) and Jogging Trail Lot, both located on NC 751/Cameron Blvd. between Science Drive and Duke University Road. Lacrosse Tailgate parking opens Saturday 11:00 AM. There is no charge to park.
The Opening Faceoff
- The Blue Devils are 9-4 overall and open their three-game homestand againtst No. 16 Notre Dame Saturday. Faceoff is set for 1 p.m., on ACC Network Extra.
- Notre Dame is 3-4 overall and coming off a 22-6 win versus Syracuse. The Irish are 1-1 against league foes with the loss coming to Virginia, 12-8.
- Brennan O'Neill leads the offense following his seven-goal outing at North Carolina. O'Neill has 42 goals and 10 assists for 52 points. Dyson Williams has 33 goals and 41 points overall, while Nakeie Montgomery has 37 (22g, 15a).
- Sean Lulley has 35 points overall, while Andrew McAdorey is one of the league's top scoring freshman with 31. Duke is averaging 15.15 goals per game to rank seventh nationally.
- Defensively, Kenny Brower draws the opponent's top attackman and has 12 caused turnovers and 33 ground balls. Wilson Stephenson has 17 caused turnovers and 30 GBs, while Tyler Carpenter has 15 and 50, respectively. Jake Naso is 177-of-301 (.588) at the faceoff dot with 95 ground balls.
- In goal, Mike Adler has been solid, averaging 13.00 saves per game and sporting a .561 save percentage. He has made 15-plus saves five times this season.

Scouting Notre Dame
- Notre Dame, like the Blue Devils, is coming off a commanding victory over the weekend. The Fighting Irish defeated Syracuse, 22-6, last Saturday to improve to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in ACC play.
- Featuring an offense that has scored 20-plus goals twice this season, Notre Dame is led by Pat Kavanagh with 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points. Eric Dobson has 10 goals, while Chris Kavanagh has 13. Jake Taylor has 10 as well, following his eight-goal performance against the Orange. The Fighting Irish have the ACC's best man-up unit, scoring 12 goals on 19 extra-man chances.
- Defensively, Notre Dame ranks second nationally in caused turnovers per game (11.0). Pat Kavanagh, an attackman, is dangerous on the ride, forcing 1.29 per game. Jason Reynolds anchors the defense with 1.29 per outing. The Irish are allowing just 9.71 goals per game.
- Will Lynch handles the majority of faceoffs, going 56-of-124 on restarts (.452). Colin Hagstrom is 21-of-59.
- In goal, Liam Entenmann has played all but 35 minutes and sports a 10.44 goals against average and a .556 save percentage. He is averaging 12 saves per game.

- Duke and Notre Dame are meeting for the 28th time in the programs' histories. The Blue Devils hold a 16-11 edge in the series and a 6-4 advantage in the past 10 matchups. Duke is 5-3 in ACC regular season contests and holds a 9-6 record over the Irish as ACC competitors.
- Neither team has consecutive wins since Duke beat Notre Dame in the ACC Tournament in 2016 and then again in the regular season in 2017. Both teams have five wins apiece at Koskinen.
