DURHAM – Fresh off two important conference road wins, No. 10 Duke women's tennis enters the final stretch of the regular season as the Blue Devils get set for a pair of matches against Georgia Tech (April 8) and Clemson (April 10).
The Blue Devils will square off against the Yellow Jackets Friday at 6 p.m., before taking on the Tigers Sunday at 12 p.m.
Duke features four singles players and three doubles pairs in the ITA rankings. Junior
Chloe Beck leads the way in singles action at No. 9, followed by 19th-ranked senior
Georgia Drummy and 99th-ranked freshman
Emma Jackson. Senior
Kelly Chen also makes her first appearance in the ITA singles rankings this season, checking in at No. 123.
In doubles play, Duke is led by sophomore
Karolina Berankova and Drummy – the duo sits 43rd nationally, ascending 37 spots from their previous ranking of No. 80. The tandems of Beck and senior
Margaryta Bilokin, as well as Chen and graduate student
Eliza Omirou, check in at No. 56 and No. 80, respectively.

Georgia Tech – Record: 12-6, 7-2 ACC | All-time series: Duke leads 36-12
Georgia Tech comes into Friday's match after picking up a 5-2 home win over Clemson. The Yellow Jackets feature two ranked singles players in No. 60 Carol Lee and No. 85 Kylie Bilchev. In doubles action, Georgia Tech is led by No. 6 Lee and Kate Sharabura followed by No. 27 Bilchev and Ava Hrastar.
Although Duke holds a sizeable ledger in the all-time series, nine of the last 11 matches have gone the way of the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech won both meetings in 2021, 4-3 (Jan. 24) and 5-2 (March 12).
Clemson – Record: 10-9, 2-7 ACC | All-time series: Duke leads 35-21
The Tigers are coming off a 1-1 weekend that saw them fall to Georgia Tech on Saturday before rebounding against James Madison on Sunday. Cristina Mayorova represents Clemson in the ITA singles rankings at No. 107, while Samantha Buyckx and Ali DeSpain check in at No. 61 on the doubles list.
Duke has won the last nine meetings against the Tigers, including a 6-1 victory on March 14, 2021.
Last Time Out
The Blue Devils picked up a pair of 4-3 road wins at then No. 2 NC State and Wake Forest. Duke rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Wolfpack Friday evening, before grinding out the victory over the Demon Deacons Sunday afternoon.

- Kelly Chen currently sits in sixth on the Duke career singles list with a 127-47 mark and is tied for 17th on the career doubles list at 88-45. Overall, the senior owns a 215-92 combined career singles and doubles record – good for ninth all-time in total victories. Chen needs three more wins to move into a tie for eighth with Jessi Robinson.
