DURHAM – The freshman class of the Duke baseball program was tabbed ninth in
Baseball America's freshman class rankings, announced by the organization on Wednesday morning.

The ranking was the highest Duke ranking in the 22 seasons that
Baseball America has produced freshman rankings. The Blue Devils' class was the second highest in the ACC.

Alex Mooney highlighted the Duke class as the shortstop was ranked No. 65 in Baseball America's top 500 draft prospects in June. Left-handed pitcher and outfielder
Jonathan Santucci (437), right-handed pitcher
Ryan Higgins (457) and right-handed pitcher
Fran Oschell (499) rounded out Duke's freshmen on the rankings.

Chris Pollard and associate head coach and recruiting coordinator
Josh Jordan for taking Duke's recruiting to the next level.
