Duke's Freshman Class Ranked 17th by Perfect Game

DURHAM – The Duke baseball program's freshman class for the coming season was ranked 17th by Perfect Game.

Duke's 12-member class scored 66 points on the organizations ranking system, checking in at sixth in the ACC. The Blue Devils were the only ACC squad to have two players rank among the Top 100 players in the class in Alex Mooney and Jonathan Santucci.

Duke associate head coach and recruiting coordinator Josh Jordan continues to elevate the Blue Devils' recruiting efforts across the board. Last month, Duke's freshman class was tabbed ninth in the nation by Baseball America, the highest in the 22-year history of the ranking system.

The Blue Devils open their fall exhibition schedule on Oct. 14-15 with a pair of scrimmages leading into an exhibition game against Davidson in Kannapolis, N.C. The full fall exhibition schedule can be found HERE.
