DURHAM – The Duke baseball team welcomes Wake Forest to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park for a three-game ACC series this weekend in downtown Durham, N.C.

FIRST PITCH
- Duke (14-15, 6-12 ACC) will host Wake Forest (11-15, 5-12 ACC) this weekend for a three-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, followed by 3 p.m. on Saturday a 1 p.m. start on Sunday.
- The series will wrap up Duke's eight-game stand against teams from the state of North Carolina. Next week, the Blue Devils will play four games in Virginia, first at Liberty on Tuesday before a three-game series at Virginia next weekend.
- Duke's four home runs against North Carolina on April 12 were the most in a single game since Duke hit four against Georgia Tech in May 2019.
- Duke has played the seventh-toughest strength of schedule this season as its opponents have combined for a 444-284 record.
- The Blue Devils and Demon Deacons meet for the 301st time in the two programs' histories, making the Duke-Wake Forest series the most storied in Duke baseball history. Wake Forest leads the all-time series, 162-136-2.

SERIES HISTORY
Duke baseball's most storied series will gain another chapter this weekend as the Blue Devils and Wake Forest will take the field at the DBAP. The two teams will face off for the 301st time in the two programs' history. Wake Forest leads the all-time series, 162-136-2, but the Blue Devils hold a 58-53 advantage for games played in Durham. The series dates back to 1896, making it one of Duke's oldest series in program history. Duke is looking for its first series win against the Demon Deacons since 2015. Head coach

SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
Wake Forest enters the game at 5-12 in ACC play, half a game behind the Blue Devils, and 11-15 overall. The Demon Deacons are led by Brock Wilken in nearly every offensive category as the freshman leads in batting average (.314), runs (21), hits (32), doubles (eight), home runs (10) and RBIs (26). Wake Forest enters the weekend after dropping a series to Virginia Tech last weekend and shutting out Appalachian State, 12-0, on Tuesday. Both the Demon Deacons and Blue Devils are seeking their second ACC series win of the season as Duke beat Pitt while Wake Forest topped Florida State.

STRIKING THEM OUT IN BUNCHES
Duke has recorded 18 strikeouts in two games this year to set the record for most strikeouts in a game under head coach
Chris Pollard. The Blue Devils first accomplished this feat on March 6 as sophomore
Henry Williams recorded 11 while sophomore
Jimmy Loper added seven more to lead the Blue Devils to a 8-1 win over Pittsburgh. Duke also struck out 18 in a redetermined staff day against NC Central on April 6. Freshman
Luke Fox led the way with a career-high six strikeouts in 2.0 innings of work.

DOCKMAN SHINING WHEN CALLED UPON
Senior
Matt Dockman has been a bright spot out of the Duke bullpen, having strung together five consecutive scoreless appearances in relief. During that stretch, the Hilliard, Ohio, native has allowed no runs on just four hits and three walks while striking out 14 in 11 innings of work. Over the last five games, opponents have hit a .105 batting average against him.

Junior
Cooper Stinson leads the team and ranks second in the ACC allowing just 5.46 hits per game throughout the season. Stinson also ranks second in the league in opponent batting average as the junior is allowing batters just a .174 clip.
