DURHAM, N.C. – The No. 15 Duke field hockey team will travel Tobacco Road to play No. 1 North Carolina in Chapel Hill on Friday, April 2. The game is slated for a 2 p.m. start at Karen Shelton Stadium.
Friday's contest between the Blue Devils (3-10, 1-2 ACC) and Tar Heels (12-1, 2-0) will be available to watch on ACC Network Extra.

HISTORY WITH THE TAR HEELS
The Blue Devils and Tar Heels meet for the 95th time as North Carolina leads the all-time series with an 80-13-1 mark. This will be the third meeting between the two programs during the 2020-21 campaign as the Tar Heels won both, 4-0 on Oct. 4 and 5-4 in overtime on Oct. 18. The last time Duke won in Chapel Hill was Sept. 27, 2013, when the Blue Devils pulled out a 3-2 shootout victory.

SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA
North Carolina hasn't lost a game since Louisville snapped its 47-game winning streak on Oct. 2 as the Tar Heels enter the matchup with a 12-1 mark on the season. The Tar Heels defeated the Cardinals, 4-2, to become the 2020 ACC Champions. Junior Erin Matson leads North Carolina with an impressive 41 points on 17 goals and seven assists. Senior Amanda Hendry has been stellar in the cage, posting a 1.08 goals against average with 60 saves this season.
NFHCA NATIONAL ACADEMIC TEAM
The Blue Devils posted a 3.73 grade-point average in the fall to earn the 2020 NFHCA Division I National Team Academic Award as Duke was one of 79 programs to receive the honor. Nineteen student-athletes, a program record, were named to the 2020 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad while Crouse and freshmen

Morgan Fletcher received Scholars of Distinction honors.
