SERIES HISTORY
Duke and Notre Dame take the field for the 20th time in the two programs' histories, dating back to 1955. Duke currently leads the all-time series, 13-6, but the series is knotted even at 2-2 in Notre Dame. In the last meeting in 2019, Duke topped Notre Dame 10-6 in the first round of the ACC Tournament. Chris Pollard described Notre Dame as one of the hottest teams in the country as the Irish have jumped out to a 7-2 start, with all nine coming against ACC opponents. The Irish enter the weekend ranked No. 17 in the D1Baseball poll after sweeping a then-ranked Virginia club last weekend. Notre Dame saw its season-opening non-conference games get canceled and jumped into the year at No. 16 Wake Forest, taking two of three from the Demon Deacons. Jared Miller and Niko Kavadas have led Notre Dame at the plate. Miller is leading the team in batting average (.462), runs (15), hits (18), doubles (4), on-base percentage (.512) and slugging percentage (.795). Kavadas boasts a team-leading five home runs and 15 RBIs.

SCHRECK OFF TO A HOT START
Junior
RJ Schreck leads the Blue Devils offensively this season as he's batting .415 with 17 hits, including three doubles and a team-leading three home runs. In addition, Schreck totals 15 RBIs, including eight from the Boston College series. He ranks in the top-10 in the league in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and RBIs per game. Coming into the season, Schreck had a career batting average of .172 (15-for-87). The Los Angeles, Calif., native's three solo home runs this season are the first of his career. Schreck is tied for the team lead with six multi-hit games and four multi-RBIs games.

GOT 'EM BOTH
Duke's defense up the middle has found success turning double plays, boasting 12 double plays in 13 games. Those 12 place second in the ACC so far this season. In addition, Duke turned three double plays in the third game of the series at Coastal Carolina. Junior
Ethan Murray leads the team in the category, being involved in nine double plays.

ROTHENBERG NAMED TO BUSTER POSEY WATCH LIST
Senior
Michael Rothenberg, out of Boca Raton, Fla., earned recognition on the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Watch List for the second consecutive season. In the shortened 2020 season, Rothenberg batted .349 with an ACC-leading .551 on-base percentage. He also topped the team with 17 RBIs, 15 walks and eight HBP.

HITTING ITS WAY INTO THE RECORD BOOKS
Duke has totaled 130 hits through its first 13 games. The Blue Devils are on pace to rival some of the strongest offensive seasons in program history. In addition, Duke's 10.00 hits per game rank fourth in the conference and are the most per game in a single season under Duke head coach
