SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
A complete schedule of this weekend's events can be found here.
SETTING THE SCENE
2021 marks the seventh conference fencing championship since its return as an ACC sponsored sport.
Notre Dame claimed both the men's and women's team titles last season.
The Duke men own a season record of 4-2 during the shortened winter slate, while the women are 6-2.
The Blue Devils will face North Carolina and Boston College. The Notre Dame fencing team will not travel to Chapel Hill this weekend to defend its titles at the 2021 ACC Championships. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution following positive tests, subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within the team.
In addition to the team competition, an individual tournament will also be held to crown a champion in each of the three weapons: epee, foil and saber.
The individual competition will take place Saturday, Feb. 27 with the team event to follow on Sunday.
