DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke men's swimming program begins the 2021 postseason as it competes in the 2021 Men's ACC Swimming & Diving Championships, Feb. 25-28, at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

The meet will run Wednesday-Saturday with preliminaries in the morning, followed by finals in the evening.

LAST YEAR'S ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Duke placed tenth in the 2020 ACC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships with a score of 421 points. Throughout the week, Duke was led by former Blue Devil
Miles Williams who reached the 'A' Final in the 100 freestyle, placing sixth with a time of 42.90 and placed 10th in the 50 freestyle (19.54). Williams' time of 19.54 in the 50 free matched the Duke school record.

PICKING UP WHERE THEY LEFT OFF
The Blue Devils enter the 2021 Men's ACC Championships in seventh place after the Duke men's diving squad scored 72 points during the diving championships last week. Freshman
Seamus Harding Jr. led the divers by placing sixth in the platform diving final with a score of 333.65.

THE COMPETITION
The Blue Devils will face tall competition at the conference meet. Nine ACC teams enter the meet ranked the CSCAA Division I Poll. No. 5 NC State, No. 7 Louisville, No. 10 Virginia, No. 13 Virginia Tech, No. 15 Florida State, No. 17 Notre Dame, No. 18 North Carolina, No. 22 Georgia Tech and No. 25 Pittsburgh represent the league in the rankings.

WOMEN WRAP UP ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Duke placed sixth (647 points) at the 2021 Women's ACC Swimming & Diving Championships after a strong week in the pool and on the boards. The Duke women recorded 16 career-best times while reaching 31 finals.

Sophomore diver
Ali Watson earned All-ACC honors in platform diving for the second consecutive season and led the Blue Devils throughout the week with 59 points. She placed second in platform this season after finishing third in 2020. Freshman
Sarah Foley ws not far behind with 56 points for Duke. Foley reached the 'A' Final of the 200 breaststroke while placing second in the 'B' Final of both the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley.

HOW TO FOLLOW
Streaming will begin at 4 p.m. on Wednesday to kick off the event. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the stream will run from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
