Ian Siebers each were under par on Saturday as the second round of the Seminole Intercollegiate wrapped up at the Golden Eagle CC in Tallahassee.
Pendaries and Siebers each posted round of two-under 70 for the Blue Devils, who fired a two-over 290 as a team and find themselves in 12th place heading into Sunday's final round.
Florida State, who is hosting the tournament, will take a two-shot lead over Liberty into Sunday. The Seminoles are 17-under and lead a pack of six teams under par through 36 holes, including Liberty (-15), Oklahoma (-11), Oklahoma State (-10), NC State (-9) and USF (-1). Duke is nine-over for the tournament (295-290=585).
Pendaries bounced back with a strong Saturday with a card that featured four birdies on his way to a two-under 70. After shooting 78 on Friday, the senior from France, finds himself in a tie for 40th at four-over 148.
Siebers followed up Friday's 74 with a two-under round of his own on Saturday and is tied for 28th at even-par 144 through 36 holes. The freshman was on fire from the start, beginning his round with a birdie on the par-4 10th, and making three more birdies on his opening nine holes. He bogeyed three on the back, before closing with a birdie on the par-5 nine for his 70.
Also for Duke, freshman
Jimmy Zheng, who opened with a four-under 68 on Friday, shot 75 on Saturday. His 36-hole total of one-under 143 has him tied for 17th.
Graduate student
Steven DiLisio shot 77 on Saturday to follow his 76 on Friday and is tied for 67th at nine-over 153. Senior
Drew Powell, who is playing individually, posted a 76 on Saturday and is tied for 40th at four-over 148. Freshman
Cameron Piedra-Martinez was disqualified from Saturday's round for an incorrect scorecard. He will still compete Sunday and can count as a score for the Blue Devils.
Friday's 18-hole leader Alexandre Fuchs of Liberty remained at the top of the leaderboard with his second consecutive round of seven-under 65. At 14-under, Fuchs is six strokes clear of the field with 18 holes to play.
Sunday's final round is underway at 8 a.m. ET.
