Duke women's basketball play-by-play announcer Chris Edwards is giving fans an inside look at some of his memorable basketball moments throughout his four years as the Voice of the Blue Devils. The events highlighted during this series are not meant to be a complete listing of all memorable accomplishments, but a sampling of great moments in Edwards' words.
Rebecca Greenwell had already proven to be one of the best three-point shooters in Duke basketball history, after securing the school record for most made three's by a rookie.
During the 2018 season, Greenwell set her sights on the school record for most career three-pointers made and after tying the school record earlier in the game at Wake Forest with a buzzer beater at the end of the first quarter, the Duke senior eyed the record.
Midway through the first half, Greenwell received a pass and buried her 253rd career three-pointer, passing former teammate, Tricia Liston who had set the mark in 2014.
Greenwell would finish her Blue Devil career with 301 made three-pointers, still the most in program history.
