DURHAM, N.C. – Fresh off a series win over Florida State, No. 10 Duke travels to Charlotte on Tuesday for midweek matchup against in-state foe Davidson at BB&T Ballpark.
The contest between the Blue Devils and Wildcats marks the first of a home-and-home between the two schools in the 2020 season, as Duke will host Davidson later this month. The Blue Devils own the series advantage over Wildcats, 114-31-1, including a 38-11-1 mark in road matchups. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m., with action airing live on ESPN+.

Duke and Davidson will meet for the 147th time in program history when the two in-state schools square off in Tuesday's midweek matchup, marking the first of a home-and-home between the two this season. The Blue Devils hold the series advantage over the Wildcats with a record of 114-31-1, including a 38-11-1 mark in road matchups. Duke currently owns a eight-game winning streak against the Wildcats dating back to 2014. Scouting the Wildcats
Davidson entered the 2020 campaign with a wealth of experience returning from last year's roster, while the Wildcats were picked to finish fifth in the 2020 Atlantic 10 Conference preseason poll. Davidson returned six regular starters to the lineup, including senior Brett Centracchio, who started 51 games for the Wildcats at first base last season. The team also returned Matt Frey, Ruben Fontes, Alex Mardiney, Trevor Candelaria and Zach Nussbaum. The Wildcats enter Tuesday's matchup with a 12-3 overall record, after notching a sweep over Siena in their recent weekend series. Davidson began the season with a seven-game winning streak.

In program history, Duke owns a combined record of 169-54-2 (.756) against current members of the Atlantic 10: Davidson (114-31-1), Fordham (5-4), George Mason (0-1), George Washington (10-2-1), La Salle (9-1), Massachusetts (2-2), Rhode Island (2-0), Richmond (16-6), St. Bonaventure (3-0), Saint Louis (1-1) and VCU (7-6). Tuesday's contest marks the first of three matchups against A-10 schools across the 2020 campaign, as the Blue Devils are set to face Davidson twice and Richmond once.
Chris Pollard owns a 36-10 career record against current A-10 members, including a 13-2 mark during his time in Durham.

After entering the 2020 campaign as a consensus top-20 team, the Blue Devils have risen up the ranks throughout the first four weeks of play and are currently ranked among all six national polls. Duke jumped to No. 10 in both the

D1Baseball polls, while holding steady in the
Perfect Game Top 25 at eighth. The Blue Devils are just outside the top 10 in the
USA Today Coaches Poll, coming in at No. 11 in the weekly poll, while ranking 14th in the
Collegiate Baseball national poll.
Hot Start for Rothenberg
Junior
Michael Rothenberg has gotten off to a hot start in year three, leading the Blue Devils in multiple offensive categories. The Duke catcher leads the team in average (.341), RBI (17), runs scored (12), slugging percentage (.585) and on-base percentage (.531), while ranking second in hits and walks with 14 and 13, respectively. Rothenberg ranks sixth in the ACC in RBI, while placing second in the league in on-base percentage and tying for second in hit-by-pitches with seven. The junior backstop has reached base safely in every contest this year and owns a 23-game reached base streak dating back to last season.
