DURHAM, N.C. – According to
Baseball America, Duke found itself with three players listed among the top 2022 college MLB draft prospects.

Henry Williams, catcher
Chad Knight and infielder
Grant Norris were all named to the top-100 list. Williams came in at No. 21, while Knight and Norris rounded out the Blue Devils acknowledged at No. 60 and No. 86, respectively.

Duke's sophomore trio were the second-most in the ACC, trailing only Georgia Tech.

Williams made one start during the 2020 season before it was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. He worked 0.2 innings, allowing one earned run and three walks before being replaced due to soreness. Prior to Duke, he was the third-best right-handed pitcher in the state of Connecticut and the No. 12 overall prospect in the state by Perfect Game USA.

Knight, who was selected by the New York Yankees in the 31st round of the 2019 Major League First Year Player Draft, saw action in 11 contests last season, making five starts. In his first year in Durham, Knight posted a .241 batting average with seven hits, four runs, and three RBI. He also recorded his first career home run against Air Force. Before coming to Duke, Knight was the top-rated catcher in the state of Connecticut and the second-best prospect in the state according to Perfect Game USA.

Norris played in 10 games in 2020, making seven starts at second base. He finished his first year in a Duke uniform with two hits, three runs and two RBI. Norris also garnered four walks, while recording 15 putouts and 18 assists. Coming out of high school, Norris was the second-rated shortstop in the state of Pennsylvania and the No. 30 overall prospect in the state according to Perfect Game USA.
